The CDA (R&D), Bangalore is an esteemed office of the Defence Accounts Department under the Ministry of Defence (Finance). It is responsible for conducting audits, managing accounts, and processing payments related to DRDO Labs/Establishments located in Bangalore, Kochi, Avadi, and Mysore. Its functions include:
- Conducting audits, managing accounts, and processing payments related to Pay and Allowances, TA/DA, Miscellaneous Claims, and Store bills of DRDO Labs/Establishments under the audit jurisdiction of CDA (R&D) Bangalore.
- Providing financial advice to DRDO Labs/Establishments on general accounting systems, procedures, and purchase decisions through Tender Purchase Committee (TPC) meetings and other services.
- Conducting local audits of store and cash accounts of all DRDO Labs/Establishments and the project accounts of various Programmes/Projects under its audit jurisdiction.
